Flora Depot, Pre-deconstruction
In 1969 the Flora Depot was moved from its original location in what is now the Flora Town Parking Lot to a location on
S. Sycamore Street where it was converted into a laundromat. In 2003 a customer put gas-soaked items into a washer causing a devastating fire. The owners chose not to make repairs and the structure stood neglected until it was deconstructed and stored in 2013. Despite its condition it was designated a Notable example of transportation architecture in the 2011 Carroll County Historic Sites and Structures Inventory produced by DNR and Indiana Landmarks.

The images to the right show how the depot looked prior to salvaging materials and deconstruction.
